Rayman Legends Leaked As Wii U Game

Looks like the Rayman Origins sequel rumors, Rayman Origins 2, weren’t far off. Ubisoft’s internal studio presentation trailer for the Wii U version has leaked online and revealed the game’s called Rayman Legends!

The leaked description reads: “The sequel to the successful Rayman Origins has been leaked today!

Rayman Legends is shown working with certain figures resting on the Wii U’s tablet controller. Presumably, this will add Skylanders-like functionality to the beautiful brawling sequel to last year’s best platformer.

A heart is shown adding fluttering hearts to the environment while a Rabbid gives you the long-eared terrors to pummel in the game. The video also shows, tantalisingly, a statue of Ezio from Assassin’s Creed being lifted but not what it might do in-game. We can only assume that it enables some neck-stabbing.”

Here’s the Rayman Legends Premier Trailer:

I expect an official announcement is likely during E3 2012 in the first week of June. Considering the multiplatform success of Rayman’s latest adventure, expect Ubisoft to confirm other platforms outside of Wii U will include: Wii, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, PlayStation Vita, and Nintendo 3DS.

Are you looking forward to another new Rayman platformer?
