Let’s Talk: Uncharted Golden Abyss

Welcome to another Let’s Talk video with Meg!

In this video I will be talking a little bit about my initial thoughts on the PSVita exclusive, and Uncharted series’ first foray into the world of the portable, Uncharted: Golden Abyss.

Take a look at my first impressions of Uncharted: Golden Abyss!

Overall I am in love with this game and I can play it anywhere!

The story is engaging with a brand new cast of well-developed, witty characters; gameplay both measures up to previous games in the series whilst also bringing new, fun features to the table; the graphics are incredible for a handheld device; and the score, composed by Clint Bajakian, exceeds in some areas whilst lacking in others – namely the action tracks.

I just hope this is the start of more Uncharted Vita titles; they could really utilize this platform to, as I said, fill out past chapters in Drake’s life or even focus on other characters (like Cutter) in a spin-off.

Check out last year’s Golden Abyss launch trailer:

So what do you make of Uncharted: Golden Abyss? Are you a die-hard fan of the series? Perhaps you own a Vita but are unsure of whether or not to dive into Nate’s world of adventure? Please feel free to leave your comments and opinions below!

Remember! This is my personal opinion; the only way you can determine what you’ll make of a game is to play it for yourself. Is Golden Abyss right up your alley as a gamer? Then try it out!

Side note — all of the tracks playing in this video are from the official Uncharted: Golden Abyss score, composed by Clint Bajakian, available for purchase on iTunes.co.uk and belong to the respective owners. There are (in the order they appear):

1. Chase’s Theme
2. Protect Chase
3. Ancient Mystery
4. Snake Temple
