Bulletstorm 2 Was Considered By Epic

Epic Games president Mike Capps has revealed the studio considered having Bulletstorm 2 developed at People Can Fly right after Bulletstorm was finished. But less-than-expected sales and other projects got in the way of a sequel.

To quote Mr. Capps:

We thought a lot about a sequel, and had done some initial development on it, but we found a project that we thought was a better fit for People Can Fly. We haven’t announced that yet, but we will be announcing it pretty soon.

I’d love to go back [to Bulletstorm]. I think there’s more to do with Bulletstorm. Heck, it kind of ended wanting more. I’d love to see another project, but right now we don’t have anything to talk about.”

He ended the PAX East 2012 GameSpot interview by saying he thought publisher Electronic Arts wasn’t happy with the good but not amazing sales of Bulletstorm. Which was partly due to piracy and the less-than-stellar PC port.

Here’s the Bulletstorm launch trailer for those into potty-mouth FPS games. 🙂
