On iOS App Store: Dark Meadow: The Pact, Ow My Balls! XL, Skylanders Cloud Patrol

From today you can play these new iOS games for iPhone, iPod Touch & iPad via the iTunes App Store. The newest games become available mid-week in America at around 11 PM EST and Europe at around 12 AM UK time.

Here’s an overview of what iOS games Apple announced:

Content: Dark Meadow: The Pact
Price: FREE
Description: A dark fairytale of intrigue and mystery, where the sins of the past must be paid for… So sets the stage for The Dark Meadow — a visually stunning world of deep exploration, gripping story, and heart racing combat, created with the unrivaled power of the Unreal Engine 3.

You awake in a hospital uncertain of how you arrived there or why. An old man warns of a beautiful witch whose minions roam the halls seeking the living. It is only when the witch is destroyed that you will be released from this unrelenting torment.

Using fun and intuitive fully gesture-based controls, you explore the decaying ruins of Montclair Hospital, armed with your crossbow for long-range combat as well as your sword for up close and personal melee battles. The best elements from role-playing games encourage exploration as a wide variety of items are secreted throughout the world – from hidden scraps of paper that reveal the mystery of your imprisonment, to weapons and items, to money which can be used to purchase better equipment and weapons.

Content: Ow My Balls! XL (iPad-only)
Price: FREE
Description: Ow My Balls! is a complete entertainment package that brings top shelf kicked-in-the-crotch humor to the iPhone and iPod touch. It is one of the funniest apps in the App Store and the ONLY one that lets you kick a dude in the balls!

Kick Joe the Juggler from a ledge above the city and try to rack his balls on as many targets as you can. Ignite fart jetpacks to gain altitude and hit the most targets. Complete achievements and watch hilarious videos of… you guessed it. People who love Envirobear 2010, Sheep Launcher, Monkey Sling, Kitty Kannon, iFart, or Ragdoll Blaster should check this out.

Content: Rinth Island
Price: $0.99
Description: Embark on an incredible adventure on the mysterious Rinth Island. Featuring unique puzzles, gorgeous visuals, a deep story, and loveable characters, Rinth Island is an adventure you simply can’t afford to miss.

A storm has left our intrepid heroes stranded on the island, now they must set out on an adventure of a lifetime. Featuring 60 levels, with four ways to play each one, this is one seriously epic adventure. The fun doesn’t stop when the story ends, you can create your very own levels and share them with players worldwide. Your imagination is the limit, what wonders can you create?

Content: Violet Storm
Price: $0.99
Description: Some games have a story to tell. Others make you think to get through a series of complicated puzzles. Violet Storm doesn’t have any of that. What is does have is pure, intense, unabashedly over-the-top, non-stop action – rendered in fantastic glowing-neon style with fast-paced techno music in the background.

And the most surprisingly satisfying part? The many enemies in the game explode into lots and lots of pieces with the sound of shattering glass, which somehow irresistibly draws you in to keep going and going until no more hitpoints are left.
