BSAA operative Chris Redfield is missing. Latest GPS coordinates shows his last position aboard abandoned ex-cruise ship Queen Zenobia. Recent intelligence suggests the existence of new and more aggressive strains of the T-Abyss virus that has perpetuated recent infections. Nonetheless, Chris must be tracked down and recovered.
End of message.”

Evil awaits… Exploration of every dark and fetid inch of the Queen Zenobia is imperative. Ammunition is in short supply, there’s a stench of dread in the air and evil crouches in every corner…

The all new narrative builds tension and the fast paced action delivers a constant fear of the unknown, all brought to life in 3D. With a mix of favorite faces, such as Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield, as well as mysterious new characters and enemies, you’ll be constantly wondering who to trust.

Jill and Chris, both members of the Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance (BSAA), have new partners; Parker Luciani and Jessica Sherawat. Each team must investigate different angles of the bioterrorism threat in Europe at the same time as working out how their bioterrorist enemies are able to stay one step ahead of them.

Explore a variety of mountain and coastal locations as well as a dark and deserted ocean liner to discover the truth. With horrors and unknown threats around each corner, you’ll need nerves of steel to search claustrophobic rooms and caves.

Resident Evil Revelations has been specifically designed to make the best use of the Nintendo 3DS capabilities. Use the Touch Screen for quick, direct weapon selection and item usage while the shooting system has also been enhanced to bring you right into the game, allowing you to switch from third to first person perspective. Episode 1: Into the Depths

Zombie attack. Behind you Jill!
BEHIND YOU JILL!

Jill Valentine and BSAA partner Parker Luciani have been sent to search for Chris Redfield, whose last known GPS data positions him as being onboard a supposedly abandoned cruise ship. Far from being empty, danger hides around every corner as Jill and Parker explore the confined space of the ship and must face a menacing new enemy and virus; the T-Abyss. Adding a new unique horror setting to the series players will venture underwater as they try to escape the terrifying creatures roaming the ship.

Introduction Sequence.

Quote from the beginning of the episode: “Through me the way is to the city dolent; Through me the way is to eternal dole; Through me the way among the people lost.” -La Diva Commedia Inferno, Canto III

Resident Evil Revelations Walkthrough of Episode 1: Part 2.

Objective 1: Search for Chris.
Objective 2: Investigate corpse. Get a 100% analysis using the BSAA’s Genesis handheld scanner.
Objective 3: Flashback to before they boarded the Queen Zenobia ship. After collecting 100% of the carcasses samples, join up again with O’Brian at the beach in front of Terragrigia at sea.

Resident Evil Revelations Walkthrough of Episode 1: Part 3.

Objective 4: Back on the Queen Zenobia ship, Jill splits up from Parker and starts the search for Chris. Search for the key to get Chris out of his cell. You’ll be able to find the key by following the hallways of the ship until you hear Rachael screaming from the BOW’s attacking her. It’s the windowed room you find her in where the key lays on the floor next to her. After you pick up the Crew Quarters Area Key, go back to the room Chris was in.

Genesis Scanner Tip: Getting your analyze rate up to 100% will earn you a health recovery item. The rate you receive will go down if you analyze enemies of the same kind.

Genesis Manual Version. 1.0.9.
“Genesis” The nickname of a high-level bioscanner currently being tested and developed by the Global Pharmaceutical Consortium. It bounces special synchrotron radiation off of a target in order to analyze it.
“Viral Analysis” It is possible to detect and analyze even the smallest amount of viruses.
“Vaccine Manufacturing” Since version. 1.0.4, it has been possible to produce simple vaccines from the viral analysis data.
“Detection” Using synchrotron radiation, it is possible to detect specific objects. The data for bullets, medicinal herbs, etc., are registered within the internal memory for testing. If a detectable object is nearby, the indicator in the lower-right area of the monitor will light up.

Tip: You can touch the Menu button on the bottom screen to enter the sub-menu that allows you to (from left to right) browse through: Items, Ammo, Key Items, Map.

Protip: You can use a physical attack when you are near a flinching enemy and when the Melee Attack button is displayed on screen. To do this, hold the Melee Attack button to charge up power for an extra hard hit. Good for saving on ammo! (it’s the right Z should button, Zr, on the type D button layout if you’re using the Circle Pad Pro add-on).

Episode 2: Double Mystery

Meanwhile, unknown to Jill and Parker, Chris Redfield and new female BSAA agent Jessica Sherawat trek through the mountains and uncover information about Veltro, a terrorist organization. The pair must work together to fight off hordes of infected creatures and prevent further terror; but will they discover the truth about Veltro in time?

Quote from beginning of the episode: “Through every city shall Veltro hunt her, Until he hath driven her back to Hell, There from whence envy first released her.” -La Divina Commedia Inferno, Canto I

Objective: We join Chris and Jessica on a chilly investigation. Head for the crash site.

Objective 2: Search the crash site. After opening the cockpit door and scanning the pilot’s corpse you’ll get the plane’s manifest to read, after which you must proceed through the mine.

Tip: Remember, you can use the right shoulder/melee button to cut in front of you with your knife. This action will open up wooden crates that often have valuable contents in them, allowing you to pick these up.

B.O.W. Decoy Tip: After jumping over the third wooden bride (since that last one is broken) you’ll find lying on a crate two of the B.O.W. Decoy. I recommend not using them at all for now, you’ll thank me later when Chris finds himself in a particularly tricky situation where these and the other decoy bombs you collect will be a blessing.

B.O.W. Decoy Instructions: The B.O.W. Decoy is a grenade-type subweapon. Once it hits the ground, it lets out a unique sound that lures in surrounding enemies and then explodes, taking out everything in the vicinity. Very effective if used correctly. Basically it’s a timer-based explosive that attracts creatures by using high frequencies. You’ll be wise to throw this once you start encountering large packs of mutated wolves from the airplane. Up until now you’ve only had one subweapon (secondary weapon) in your menu — the knife to do a melee attack with using the right shoulder button — so to select the B.O.W. Decoy you’ll need to press the Knife icon on the left of the 3DS touch screen and then press on the B.O.W. icon that pops out to swap the two out in your inventory. Then you’re good to go and use it in-game by pressing the right shoulder button to throw it (at least that’s how I use it in Type D).

Protip: Regularly reload your current main weapon, especially before entering the next area. This will make sure you won’t end up running out of ammo of your strongest weapon too soon like in the middle of fighting new enemies, as them getting a few extra attacks in can cost you a lot of health. Better safe than sorry, as they say. 🙂

Jill solving a door puzzle

Jill finds herself waking up in one of the ship’s Guest Cabins. Let’s rendezvous with Parker.

Objective 1: Escape the room. To do this you must solve a touch screen puzzle, simply move the circles around until they all overlap with the blinking circles on the background. This will complete the circuit and restore power to the door, allowing you to open it.

Episode 3: Ghosts of Veltro

We go back to one year ago in Terragrigia and meet up with Parker and his old partner inside the city under attack.

Objective 1: Head for the elevator.
Objective 2: Head for the heliport.
