The highly anticipated release of Mass Effect 3 is nearly here! But meanwhile, there has been controversy among fans regarding the new Kinect voice control feature which has been implemented into the gameplay.

With Kinect, Mass Effect 3 players will be able to interact in-game just by using their voice. This includes controlling squad members during combat, and interacting with other characters during cutscenes.

BioWare’s Product Manager, Nick Clifford assures that the usage of Kinect in Mass Effect 3 is only an enhancement of the gameplay, rather than a replacement of any in-game features.

I personally love the idea of using Kinect to control my squad members and interact with them, especially after becoming so familiar with them in the first two games. I feel it would only heighten the role-playing experience and make it a lot more immersive for the player.

Below is the Mass Effect 3 “Better With Kinect” Trailer!

Do you agree with me, and are you looking forward to shouting commands at your squad members in ME3? Or are you simply not interested in this new feature? Leave me your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below!

Until next time: Game On, Commander Shepards!
