Max Payne 3 Preview

This Max Payne 3 preview gives a quick look at what can be expected from Rockstar Studio’s upcoming third-person shooter video game.

Max Payne 3 will start a new chapter of Max Payne’s life and is set 8 years after the events of the second game. A few years older, he is a world-weary and cynical figure in this installment. Max has been double-crossed and is searching for both the truth and a way out. The game will be set in São Paulo, Brazil, where Payne is working in the private security sector for a wealthy local family.

Max Payne 3 is an upcoming third-person shooter video game in the noir-style, gritty Max Payne franchise published by Rockstar Games for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Key Features of Max Payne 3

Here is a list of key elements that will be available in Rockstar Studio’s Max Payne 3 based on news and announcements made so far.

James McCaffrey
James McCaffrey’s voice talents will not only be utilized but he will also return in a full acting role through motion capture.

Return of ‘Bullet Time’
Bullet Time is back and, again, one of the core gameplay mechanics of Max Payne 3, impacting elements from the way Max moves to the AI of enemies, design of the weapons, the audio, and the way each bullet is modeled.
For example, enemies in Max Payne aren’t going to let the player waltz through a level in real-time easily. Bullet Time will allow you to approach large groups of intelligent, heavily armed enemies and plot a precise, fluid line of attack through them.

Precise Targeting
Targeting is more precise to make Max a more proficient killer, and Bullet Time replenishment is now skill-based, so targeting vital areas like the head or the heart will help you fill your meter more quickly.

Last Man Standing
Last Man Standing is to give players a chance to recover from a fatal shot. However, on the harder difficulty settings, players won’t be able to rely on the Last Man Standing.
