Minecraft Sells 4 Million On PC Before Full Version Release

According to the official Minecraft website, Minecraft.net, more than four million people have bought the game and there are over 16 million registered users!

According to Minecraft stats, there are 16,447,279 registered users, of which 4,069,164 (24.74%) bought the game. In the last 24 hours, 43,762 people registered, and 7,474 people bought the game.

It has also been revealed that attendees of the MineCon event, taking place at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas in just a few days time, will have the opportunity to experience Minecraft on the Xbox360 months before release!

To those who cannot attend, IGN will be streaming the footage live through the Minecraft Event Hub.

The MineCon event will act as the official launch of Minecraft. It will also feature keynote speeches, including one by Persson; building and costume contests; exhibits by Minecraft-related companies; commemorative merchandise; and autographs/pictures with the Mojang team!
