Frequently Asked Questions

How to Cure Vampirism?

Turned into a vampire and want to cure the disease in Skyrim? Go to Falkreath down at the south-end of your map. Once there, visit the Dead Man’s Drink bar, talk to Valga about rumors, she’ll tell you to visit Falion in Morthal during the daytime in the city (it’s at the north end of the map). He’ll be able to sell you the vampire cure, called a black soul gem, for 156 gold. But you have to fill the gem with a human soul to get the cure. You can do that with a soul trap spell or use an enchanted weapon like an Imperial Bow of Binding to shoot a human with to capture their soul and that will trap it in your black soul gem. Meet back up with Falion for a chat on what to do next. You’ll have to complete the Rising at Dawn ritual with him.
Hint: At night before going there, sneak into someone’s house to drink a sleeping person’s blood (by selecting pickpocket you’ll get the option to feed) because if you don’t Falion might attack you out of fear of you wanting his blood lol.

Warnings: Crashes & Glitches

Crash Warning On Xbox 360

DO NOT install Skyrim on your Xbox 360 console’s hard disk, because it will cause the game to crash!

Skyrim developer Bethesda has recommended on their official forums that Xbox 360 owners don’t install to hard disk until they release a patch. To quote:

“We’ve seen a few reports of certain textures temporarily scaling down on the Xbox 360, and not scaling back up. We have verified that this issue does not occur when playing off the disc and when the game is fully cached (not installed).

Skyrim makes heavy use of the Xbox 360 caching system, and caches over the normal course of play while in menus or interiors. This cache can be wiped when other games are played or when the user manually removes it. We’re working on a solution in the next title update for those who have installed the game.”

Glitch Warning On All Systems

DO NOT get married in Skyrim!

People who have tried to get married in Skyrim, kept failing at the ceremony because of a corpse showing up and ruining it. This video shows what happens when you try to attend your wedding ceremony. It’s being called the “Marriage Bug”. That said, it’s pretty hilarious how mad everyone gets at you for not showing up at your own wedding haha. 😀
