Skyrim Has Infinite Number of Quests Players Can Hunt Down, Says Todd Howard

Leave your job, family and any other obligations/responsibilities at the door folks, because the Skyrim experience looks to be truly illimitable!

Skyrim director Todd Howard told Wired.com that the newest Elder Scrolls installment will feature an infinite stream of routinely generated content, giving players an unlimited number of things to do, stating that “the vibe of the game is that it’s something that you can play forever.”

The ‘Radiant Quest System’ will work at the core of this boundless experience.
It will generate new tasks based on a player’s personal progress within the verse highlighting one of the game’s major strengths: environmental storytelling. “The world is probably the one thing that sets [Skyrim] apart from other games,” Howard said, “it feels really real for what it is… It’s just fun to explore.”

In addition to these tasks, players will also be able to work for each of the game’s factions, like the Dark Brotherhood and the Thieves Guild! With news like this, I’d suggest putting your life on hold and start prepping for the ultimate open-world experience!

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is the fifth installment in the series and is scheduled to be released on November 11th, 2011 for the PC (Microsoft Windows), PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms.

This new video offers a sneak peek at the majestic world and colorful characters you’ll find while exploring in Skyrim. Take a look!
