Mario Kart 7 Roster Adds: Wiggler & Honey Queen Newcomers!

The number of Mario Kart 7 characters has increased again by two! Wiggler and Honey Queen (from Super Mario Galaxy) have been confirmed by Nintendo as the newest characters to join the upcoming AAA 3DS title.

The first revealed character, Wiggler, is a Super Mario Bros. staple! He made his debut way back with Super Mario World (if memory serves me right) and has appeared in most Mario games since. However he is a generic character, so he fits well with the likes of other generic Mario Kart characters like Koopa Troopa, Dry Bones, Shy Guy and Birdo.

“Honey Queen” meanwhile hails from the Super Mario Galaxy series, where she was known as “Queen Bee”. It seems like a desperate attempt to add another female character, which is odd when you consider other choices they could’ve made. Either way, Honey Queen is a minor character having only appeared in the two Super Mario Galaxy titles and only as a climbable … giant bee.

Additionally, here are some newly revealed tracks.
