Hitman: Absolution has been fully revealed with a monstrous 17 minute gameplay trailer!
Square Enix, who now owns the rights to the Eidos franchise, will be publishing this game in hopes of pulling a Deus Ex: Human Revolution and successfully reviving the hit assassin series which has been dormant for a while in recent times.
As you can see from the gameplay footage, the game has a graphical fidelity up to par with modern titles, and has also revamped the series so that it plays more similarly to a game like Splinter Cell: Conviction.
While some see that as a big negative, others are excited to see the series go in a new direction.
Hitman: Absolution follows Agent 47, a cold blooded assassin, who takes on his most dangerous contract to date. Betrayed by those he trusted and hunted by the police, he finds himself at the centre of a dark conspiracy and must embark on a personal journey through a corrupt and twisted world, in his search for the truth.
Here is the debut gameplay trailer for Hitman: Absolution!
Hitman: Absolution will be released next year in 2012 for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
