PS Vita Game Prices Reveal Downloads Are Cheaper

PlayStation Vita videogame pricing has been revealed for the Japanese market. But more importantly digital games will be cheaper than retail titles these prices confirm.

Every PS Vita game will be available day-and-date at launch in both digital form via the PlayStation Network Store as well as in physical form at stores. The likely U.S. price though is reported by retailers to be $40.

Here is a list of the Japanese and suspected Western prices for PS Vita games in retail and digital form:

Uncharted: Golden Abyss
Retail Price: ¥5,980 / $78 / €57 / £50
Digital Price: ¥4,900 / $63 / €46 / £40

Hot Shots Golf 6 (Everybody’s Golf 6 in Japan)
Retail Price: ¥4,980 / $64 / £41
Digital Price: ¥3,980 / $51 / £33

Ridge Racer Vita
Retail Price: ¥3,980 / $51 / £33
Digital Price: ¥2,980 / $38 / £24

Katamari Damacy Vita
Retail Price: ¥4,980 / $64 / £41
Digital Price: ¥3,980 / $51 / $51

All three of these gamees will launch alongside the PS Vita in Japan on December 17.
