Chapter 6 – City of the Past
Journal 8: A Tragic Paradox
You will find this Malikov journal at the north end of the trainyard near the beginning of the chapter on top of a train in the middle. You will need to use the ladder on one of the back trains to get on top. There will be a gun and ammo to the left of it.
Journal 9: Staying Warm
You will find this audio journal at the north end of the trainyard near the beginning of the chapter inside of a train on the right side. There will be hay bales outside the platform to access the train and some inside the train with wooden crates. It will also be near where you just found Journal #8.
Journal 10: VTOL Manual
You will find this text journal lying on top of a mattress at the top of the building where you climb a long ladder after using the elevator with Malikov. You will want to grab this before picking up the carabiner and using it on the zipline.
Journal 11: Gotta Get Out
You will find this text journal just after using the carabiner on the zipline. You will need to drop down into the hole and it will be on the 2nd shelf along the left wall.
Journal 12: Quarantine
You will find this audio journal on the corner of a desk in the room next to the control room where you lower the catwalk bridge. You will also encounter a few Chimera that come in from the window to the right as you enter this room.
Journal 13: Safety Violation
You will find this text journal at the very top floor of the warehouse building. When you walk over the catwalk bridge that you brought down, head up the stairs after that and in the far left corner you will find it next to some ammo. It will also be in the same area but on the floor above where you found Journal #12. Make sure to grab this before going down the concrete pipe.
Journal 14: It’s Just Me Now
You will find this audio journal in the room you enter through the door after dropping down from the concrete pipe. It will be on a shelf on the east wall.
Journal 15: Girl’s Best Friend
You will find this audio journal just after picking up the Deadeye sniper rifle. It will be on a high shelf next to the window where you snipe a few enemies outside.
Journal 16: Letter to Santa
You will find this text journal in the next apartment building after shooting the target to lower a bridge. It will be 2 floors up inside the first open apartment to the left in the hallway.
Chapter 7 – Friends in Low Places
Journal 17: Tunguska
You will find this Malikov journal in the sewers after the bar fight. You will need to take a left down the hallway near the exit of the sewers, which is just before the room where you take the stairs up leading out. It will be on top of the desk.
Chapter 8 – The Plan
Journal 18: The Hale Vaccine
You will find this text journal when you have finished carrying the power core and drop it off on top of the pool table. It will be lying on top of the metal container in front of the bed on the right side right near where the pool table is in the same room.
Chapter 9 – Plan B
Journal 19: Mass Exodus
You will find this Malikov journal near the beginning of this chapter. You will come across a building with a ramp that drops after defending Charlie inside of a small building on a rooftop. It will be lying on the ground halfway up the stairs in the far right corner inside this building you entered via the metal ramp.
