Star Wars Galaxies Ending Decided By Players

The Star Wars Galaxies ending will take place on December 15th, as the MMO concludes it’s near decade-long existence with one finale spectacular that will be chosen by fans!

The “galaxy-ending in-game event” will take place in the run up to the servers officially and permanantly going offline.

But before the main course, players will get to take part in the epic Civil War between the Rebel Alliance and the Empire, with all-new activities, events, and contests. Participants will earn Galactic Civil War points for their side.

And at the end of it all, one side will emerge the victor.

Each sides Civil War Points will then be tallied, until one emerges as the overall winner.

“Whichever side has more will win the game, and the galaxy, for each server, as well as change the way the game will end and what happens in the final moments.”

Those who remained neutral will also get to participate in the end-game events; although exactly how they will be involved wasn’t revealed.

To participate in the Star Wars Galaxies ending, you must have an active Game Pass or SOE All Access pass as of September 15th, 2011; or if you already have an account you can still participate with a 30-day pass via your Station account.

Star Wars Galaxies will be shut down by Sony Computer Entertainment, but it will effectively be proceeded by BioWare’s highly anticipated Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO.
