Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary PC Version Possible

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary PC version could happen, according to developer Saber Interactive. The game is scheduled for release on November 15th for Xbox 360, a PC port would be quite the surprise, since Halo hasn’t hit the PC since the Halo 2 was released for Personal Computers in 2007.

The likelihood of a PC release stems from the fact that the game features advanced graphical features that are switched off in the Xbox 360 version of Anniversary, but could be switched on if developed for PC to make the game look even better.

When asked about this, Saber Interactive CEO Matthew Karch replied, about a PC version of Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary:

“It’s not something that’s happening at the moment, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it did. One of the reasons Microsoft decided to work with us is because the tech was strong, and this game’s a lot about execution. And as we work more with those guys we see a lot of opportunities, and I hope they do, too. We’ve had a lot of positive press. This is how remakes should be done. We’ve put as much effort into it as a full game.”

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary even features a “Classic” Mode that allows you to switch between the original Xbox1 graphics and the new high-definition graphics at the touch of a button, allowing you to see how much work was put into bringing the classic FPS originator into the modern era.
