Story-Related Achievements & Trophies
These Trophies/Achievements will gradually unlock as you play through the game. You should constantly work towards these during your game. There is no set time for these. Just meet the criteria fo each of them before the end of the playthrough.
4.Gun Nut(20 Gamerpoints / Bronze Trophy) – Fully upgrade one of your weapons.
5.Hax0r1! (15 points) Successfully hack 50 devices within the same playthrough.
6.Transhumanist (5 points) – Fully upgrade your first augmentation of choice.
7.Consciousness is Over-rated (15 points) – Knock out 100 enemies in a single playthrough.
8.First Takedown (5 points) – Perform your first Takedown. Civilians don’t count, so be nice.
This will unlock after you perform your first takedown on an enemy opponent, whether lethal or non-lethal. Your takedowns will only count when performed on enemies not civilians. If your going for the pacifist achievement/trophy then remember to only use non-lethal.
Just sneak up on an enemy and tap your B button (on Xbox 360) or the Circle button (on PS3) to perform non-lethal or Hold B Button (Xbox 360) or Circle Button (On PS3) to perform a lethal takedown.
9.Opportunist (15 Gamerpoints / Bronze Trophy)- Perform 50 takedowns within the same playthrough. (Civilians don’t count.)
10.First Hack (5 Gamerpoints / Bronze Trophy) – Perform your first Hack successfully.
This is as simple as it sounds. Simply win a hacking minigame. This can be done on any device that is hackable.
11.Pacifist (100 Gamerpoints / Gold Trophy) – Complete Deus Ex: Human Revolution without anyone dying by your hand. (Boss fights don’t count.)
12.Foxiest of the Hounds (100 Gamerpoints / Gold Trophy) – Complete Deus Ex: Human Revolution without setting off any alarms.
13.Up the Ante! (15 Gamerpoints / Bronze Trophy) – Upgrade your first weapon of choice.
14.Trooper (50 points / Silver Trophy) – Complete Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
15.Legend (100 points / Gold Trophy) – Complete Deus Ex: Human Revolution at its hardest setting without ever changing the difficulty.
16.Ghost (15 Gamerpoints / Bronze Trophy) – You made it through an entire hostile area without so much as a squeak.
You need to sneak through an entire section with out alerting or making anyone suspicious, Doing this means you will be rewarded with the ghost experience bonus. Not all objectives will give this bonus. But the Manufacturing plant is one of the very first missions where you can gain the ghost experience bonus and achievement.
If you tap the B button (on Xbox 360) or the Circle button (on PS3) then it will knock the enemy out without killing that enemy. Since holding down that same button will actually kill the enemy, which you will not want to do if you’re going to try and complete the game without killing anyone.
This video guide will walk you through the ‘Ghost’ Achievement.
17.The End (25 Gamerpoints / Bronze Trophy) – You defeated Zhao Yun Ru and destroyed the Hyron Project.
There is a protective shield around Zhao. To disable it, you have to disable the Tertiary Pods. If you have the Laser Rifle you can shoot Zhao immediately through the shield, but use your cloak augment to avoid being hit by the turrets. If you won the conversation with Hugh Darrow (The Final Countdown), use the codes on the security terminals for the tertiary pods to disable them. If you dont have the codes you will need to hack the terminals. When the Tertiary pods are down and the shield protecting Zhao cracks, go right up close and use the Typhoon.
I used it once but you may need to do a second one, so make sure you have some saved for this boss fight.
18.The Bull (25 Gamerpoints / Bronze Trophy) – You defeated Lawrence Barrett, elite member of a secret mercenary hit squad.
There are a few ways you can beat this boss, but the easiest I found was taking cover in the room opposite from where you start. Once you are in this room, wait for him to come towards you and then just stun him. Once he has been stunned, this will give you a few seconds to throw a mine or grenade at him. Repeat until he is down.
Combine your mines with your emps, frags or Gas Grenades. Throw them where he is and eventually he will walk into them. If you have the cloaking augmentation that is also very handy to use as i found it to be a big help in being able to sneak past him. If you already have the Typhoon, then you will find it easier to beat him.
In this video I tried to move around the main room, and use the barrels on him but make sure to not get hit by the grenades he keeps throwing. Don’t let him get to close to you as he will use his grab and punch move and this will make you loose alot of health.
19.The Mantis (25 Gamerpoints / Bronze Trophy) – You defeated Yelena Fedorova, elite member of a secret mercenary hit squad.
Items to Use :-
The Power Generators on the wall can be destroyed to get electricity to the floor, but it can also hurt you unless you have the EMP Shielding Augmentation. The Stun Gun and P.E.P.S rifle are also ideal weapons to use on Ferdorova. There are some lockers where you can pick up some Weapons, Ammo and EMP Mines.
I found using the EMP Mines and the Typhoon were the best items to use to defeat her.
20.The Snake (25 Gamerpoints / Bronze Trophy) – You defeated Jaron Namir, Leader of Belltower’s Elite Special Operations Unit.
Items to use:-
Tyhoon and EMP Mines are the best items to use. Throw the Emp Mines down nearby you and when he gets stunned, Move in closer to him and use the Typhoon. Don’t stay in one place for too long. There are some places you can hide behind. If you’ve been flashed, watch your map in the left hand corner and just try throw some mines out in that direction and eventually they will stun him. Grenades can also be used.
