The Secret World will be released on April of 2012 announced Funcom and EA Partners as the release window was finally set in stone! This was confirmed at Gamescom 2011.
The highly anticipated and oft-delayed/long-in-development MMO is a unique spin on the genre that will bring myths and legends to life in a realistic, fantasy based modern setting.
In the game, classes and levels are shed away, in place of a system whose character progression is entirely based on skill use. Featuring a story written by videogame scribe Ragnar Tornquist (Dreamfall, The Longest Journey) and an underbelly of three separate factions such as The Templars, the Illuminati and the Dragon, for characters to join and link up with; The excitement for The Secret World in the MMO space couldn’t be greater.
