Skyrim DLC Details from Bethesda

Skyrim DLC, that’s downloadable content, is coming for sure, confirmed Bethesda head and Skyrim director Todd Howard in a new interview.

The fact that Skyrim DLC is in the cards is a surprise to absolutely know one, as previous Bethesda RPGs from The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion to Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas have all had a heavy focus on downloadable, post-release paid content. Which is now the defacto staple in the current industry anyways. RPG or not.

But new details on exactly how Bethesda is planning that DLC were revealed.

Instead of releasing them close together or at a quicker pace, Bethesda would like to do less downloadable content, but make them more substantial with a real “expansion pack” like vib; in lieu of a “DLC pack” vibe.

Bethesda also confirmed that you will be able to keep playing Skyrim and paid DLC once you’ve finished the main quest; they won’t be making the mistake they did previous with Fallout 3 and New Vegas (although that is pretty much a given).

Here is the debut Skyrim trailer.
