Cinderella Life announced for 3DS by Level-5. Girls RPG made by female staff

Cinderella Life is a girls RPG for 3DS from Level-5
Cinderella Life has been announced as a 3DS version of the cell phone hostess sim called “Kyaba Jo Pi” for ROID Mobile in Japan, this time updated for the stereoscopic 3D handheld and given an RPG makeover.

Cinderella Life is being labeled a “Girls RPG”, an RPG being developed by Level-5 by a majority female development staff; A game by girls for girls.

The game was given a new title in order to seperate it from the “hostess” profession which isn’t seen in the greatest light by some (even though it is done comically and in very chibi cute style in the cellphone game).

In the game you can completely customize your character, and the storyline involves a girl from the countryside of Neo Ginza who is in pursuit of a legendary butterfly that is said to bring eternal luck. On the way you are given a card by a girl that points you to a castle called Neosienne, which is then where you head. Deciding to work there as a hostess to get in.

Similar to the cellphone game, the Castle Neosienne is where you will work as a “hostess” (or server) and serve VIP customers (CEOs, idols, politicians, etc.), you’ll need to interact with them to learn new information while also getting them to order more food, based on the responses you give.

Higher bonuses are rewarded if you can encourage them enough to cause them to order high priced items off the menu.

In addition to working, you can also explore other towns and cities in the area on your offtime (this is an RPG after all). You’ll find all manner of other restaurants to persue and shops where you can purchase new clothing and fashion items.

The game is scheduled for release this year in Japan. No word if Level-5 or another publisher will bring the game overseas, but lets hope so. Sounds intriguing to me!
