LA Noire announced for PC. Release date is…

L.A. Noire Rockstar Presents
L.A. Noire has been announced for PC announced Rockstar Games, with a release date set for this Fall 2011. An exact date wasn’t given. The PC version will join the already released Xbox 360 and PS3 versions.

According to developer Rockstar Leeds, L.A. Noire will be set to run on a wide-range of personal computers with varying specs, and will include improvements over the previous versions of the game in the form of graphical enhancements, gamepad support and the option for stereoscopic 3D on hardware that supports it.

Sales of LA Noire came close to 900,000 (889,000 to be exact) in the United States when the game released last month on May 17th and May 20th in Europe. While sales were thus close to one million, which ain’t too shabby, they did none-the-less fall short of some analysts predictions.

But hopefully Rockstar is still pleased with the sales numbers (and that doesn’t include DLC and the like) because the game cost them over $20 million to develop (And that figure came from a 2010 report).

However a sequel to the game is very likely, as is the fact that we will probably see the technology powering the game (like MotionScan) used again by Rockstar in upcoming titles.
