X-Men Destiny first gameplay trailer from E3 2011

Aimi Yoshida's backside in X-Men Destiny
The first X-Men Destiny gameplay trailer has been released from E3 2011 for the upcoming action adventure game.

It is hard to understand exactly how the game will play by looking at the trailer but it will give you an idea of what to expect from what can be gleaned through the new footage.

In the game players will collect X-Genes in Offensive, Defensive and Utility types that grant them the powers of more established X-Men characters (whom you don’t play as, but rather will fight alongside and interact with as you make decisions and choose sides in the mutant war as a new recruit) as you make your way through the branching single-player quest.

Additionally all-new mutants will be introduced in X-Men Destiny, such as Aimi Yoshida, a 15-year old Japanese girl smuggled in to San Francisco from her native land by her parents to avoid her getting put in a mutant camp (and is too young to understand why and what is happening to her, thus making her angry, bitter and feeling abondoned), Grant Alexander, an American student from Georgia who dreams of being a famous professional football player and Adrian, a former anti-mutant activist who now must struggle with his inner self as he discovered that he is, in fact, a mutant. These new characters are the highlight of the debut gameplay trailer below.

Established characters who make their appearance in X-Men Destiny include Wolverine, Magneto, Iceman, Cyclops, Gambit, Surge, Nightcrawler, Pixie, Mystique, Northstar, Quicksilver, Pyro, and Juggernaut. Who else can you see in this E3 2011 trailer?

X-Men Destiny is scheduled for release this September 2011 on Wii, Xbox 360, PS3 and DS from Silicon Knights (Eternal Darkness, Too Human).
