A God of War Origins Collection was announced at Sony’s Pre-E3 2011 Press Conference to much applause!
The set bundles two of the epic PlayStation Portable games (God of War: Chains of Olympus and God of War: Ghost of Sparta) into one PlayStation 3 collection while upping the graphics to high-definition quality and throwing Trophy support into the mix! It will be released by Ready At Dawn studios on a single Blu-ray disc with a release date set for September 13, 2011.
Each of the games will be updated with high-definition HD graphics at 720p resolution, have anti-aliasing applied to sharpen up the graphics, run at a solid 60 frames per second, and will support the Dual Shock 3 for new Rumble Support. Each of the two titles will also have a host of Trophy-hoarding possibilities for you to add to your medal count as listed above. And that’s not all, each of the two games will also support stereoscopic 3D graphics, marking them as the first God of War titles to do so (although these two PSP titles were not BUILT-WITH stereoscopic 3D in mind, so they won’t look as impressive as you may expect).
Rounding out the God of War Origins Collection set is a free copy of the “God of War – Game Directors Live documentary” (previously included with the God of War: Ghost of Sparta preorder package) as a nice extra bonus for fans!
