This scene will be much scarier in HD!
Konami has announced the Silent Hill HD Collection for Xbox 360 and PS3!

This new set was revealed at the Konami pre-E3 press conference and is the latest in a string of HD collection announcements that also include the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection and Zone of the Enders HD Collection.

Sadly though, just like with the MGS HD Collection, the Silent Hill HD Collection WILL NOT include the first Silent Hill game. Why in the HELL (pun not intended) Konami would exclude it is beyond me, but hey, it will still include Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3, and will be available on Xbox 360 and PS3; Marking the first time the Xbox 360 has seen the two titles.

You can expect the requisite high-defition graphical upgrade and Achievements or Trophies to unlock (respectively), but what else the two titles will include was not announced, and neither was a release date.

Overall, VERY happy to see these two games come to modern consoles! Now if only Konami would add the first game to make it a trilogy! It’s also a bit sad tht Konami didn’t include more Silent Hill games to make it a true collection.

Here is the awesome intro from Silent Hill 2.

Here’s the theme from Silent Hill 3.
