Child of Eden in-depth at TEDxTokyo by creator Tetsuya Mizuguchi
Child of Eden was highlighted at the TEDxTokyo event where creator Tetsuya Mizuguchi spoke about the “Positive Power of Games”.

He also showed off a ton of gameplay and talked in-depth about the upcoming Rez spiritual-sequel known as Child of Eden, discussing the power of the type of game he is making, his influences for the games he creates (how they are defined as art) and much more.

All in a quite long 15 minute presentation that is sure to get people excited about the upcoming PS3 and Xbox 360 shooter. Mizuguchi also plays the game how it was built to be played, on the Xbox 360 using Kinect.

Mizuguchi also discusses “sensory experiences”, which he describes as the blending of the real world with the experiences that make us who we are, and how he has tried to input that into the games he makes, including Child of Eden; And the positive social change and results that will come from these types of gaming experiences.

Overall it’s a very interesting presentation. Here is the full video of Tetsuya Mizuguchi at TEDxTokyo discussing Child of Eden.
