Our LA Noire Golden Film Reels Locations Guide will help you find all 50 Golden Film Canisters. These collectible items are spread throughout the game and finding all of these golden movie reels will also give you an Achievement or Trophy.

All of the Golden Reels are named after real flicks from the 1940s and discovering the location of all of them will earn you an Achievement or Trophy called “Hollywoodland”. Here is the detailed description.

“Hollywoodland (30G Achievements/Silver Trophies) – Find and inspect all gold film reels.”

These Golden Canister collectables are similar to the collectibles from other Rockstar titles like the hidden packages or secret pigeons/seagulls.

Golden Film Reel Locations 1 through 10

Golden Film Reel 1 – Angels With Dirty Faces
You will find it at the construction site at the corner of Spring and 2nd Street. It will be on top of a wire spool table inside of the small shelter on the raised scaffold platform around the site. You can get up there from a ladder on the Spring Street sidewalk.

Golden Film Reel 2 – Strangers on a Train
You will find at the corner of Main Street and 2nd Street. It will be lying on the ground in the walkway of the Bell Systems Depot building. You can either take the walkway from the guard booth or hop over the wall in the parking lot to get to it.
This is also down the street from where you found Golden Film Reel 1.

Golden Film Reel 3 – Pickup on South Street
You will find it inside of Union Station on Alameda Street. It will be on top of the gift shop counter to the right inside Union Station.

Golden Film Reel 4 – House of Bamboo
You will find at Western Iron Works factory at the corner of Alameda Street and another street a block north of Traction Avenue. It will be inside of the factory up in the catwalk to the far left corner. You can take the stairs on the left side of the entrance to get to it lying on the catwalk.

Golden Film Reel 5 – Gun Crazy
You will find near the trolley station on 1st Street across the bridge to the east. It will be lying on the ground underneath the small water tower that is adjacent to a large water tower.

Golden Film Reel 6 – Scarlet Street
You will find in the alley found either near the corner of Alameda and 6th Street or Alameda and Palmetto Street. It will be lying on the ground next to 2 large garbage containers in a nook.

Golden Film Reel 7 – Detour
You will find it at Bay Street right off Alameda Street. It will be lying on the tracks between the 2 unhitched railcars.

Golden Film Reel 8 – Body and Soul
You will find it at the 7th Street Bridge. It will be on the lower level of the bridge. You need to get to the area below the bridge and then take the stairwell inside one of the bridge supports to get up to the lower level. You will then find it lying on the ground towards the right of the bridge at the south side.

Golden Film Reel 9 – Double Indemnity
You will find at the military base on the street furthest to the bottom right of the map. You need to head left as you enter the military base then follow the sidewalk around the building until you reach the firing range. It will be on top of one of the tables here.

Golden Film Reel 10 – Notorious
You will find it inside the lumber warehouse on the street furthest to the bottom right of the map. This is south of the military base from where you found Golden Film Reel #9. It will be lying on the ground inside of the office in the lumber warehouse.
