How To Play Child of Eden. Trailer explains saving Eden

Child of Eden is the highly anticipated upcoming first-person Schmup from Q Entertainment, makers of Rez HD, Lumines, Meteos and Every Extend Extra Extreme.

This time the company has targeted the Xbox 360’s Kinect to create a chaotic, shooter masterpiece where you use your hands as your weapons! This tutorial trailer shows you exactly how Child of Eden is played.

You use both hands to play the game, and wherever you move your hand is where the reticle aims at the screen. You can automatically lock onto enemy targets in view by moving the reticle over them. Flicking your hand will reset the lock-on. Up to eight targets can be locked onto at once.

In addition to being scored by releasing a shot when eight targets are locked on, you get additional bonuses for releasing the shot “to the beat of the music.” Snazzy! You can also use your left hand for a unique rapid-fire “Tracer” weapon. This is the only weapon that can destroy oncoming enemy bullets. It is also effective against purple-colored targets.

Additionally, a screen-destroying bomb called Euphoria can be shot off by lifting both arms!

Here is the “How to Save Eden” trailer for Child of Eden, which will be released on June 14, 2011 for Xbox 360 this Fall for PS3 (where it supports the Move Controllers instead of using your hands).

Its worth noting that you do not have to play Child of Eden using your hands and the Kinect sensor, the game can also be played regularly using an Xbox 360 or PS3 controller. Just in case your arms get tired!
