I-Ninja 2 was once in development

I-Ninja 2 artwork from cancelled sequel
The first and only I-Ninja 2 concept artwork from the development of a sequel to the 2003 game has been released.

While the concept art isn’t anything special at all, it is interesting to think that a sequel was under consideration at one point.

I-Ninja wasn’t a super special game, but it did feature a lil ninja protagonist with a big head, action adventure/platforming slice-and-dice gameplay and interesting “rail” sections where you’d swing at high speed while running along a wall using a grappling hook. So it was still quite a fun game. Sad the sequel never materialized, I wonder if we’ll hear about it anytime soon?

Here is a video from the original I-Ninja (released in 2003 for PS2, GameCube, Xbox1 and PC) with the concept art from I-Ninja 2 shown above.
