The Brink release date is nearly upon us, and thus the developers have seen it fit to release two tutorial videos giving us the ropes on how the game plays.
Brink will hit on May 10th for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC and combines first-person shooting action with parkour-style acrobats for an interesting spin on the genre, all set within a floating city known as “The Ark”.
This first video goes into detail on how the experience system works which allows you to unlock additional abilities and equipment, as well as gives an in-depth look at all of the classes and their specialties. This video is called “The Basics”.
In the second video, “Objectives”, you get a breakdown of how the game focuses on teamwork and how the Objective Wheel system works and allows you to easily sort through the objectives your team is currently tackling. It also gives which objectives are unique to which classes and how the objectives intermingle.
This third video explains and shows the core gameplay of the team-based shooter.
I hope Brink does well. The game has been a long-time coming and is trying interesting things with cooperative and team-based online gameplay. Hopefully it’ll be a surprise hit like Borderlands was.
