How long is id’s Rage game’s single-player campaign?

According to reports by the National Examiner, you can expect the single-player campaign to last you around 15 hours for id’s long-in-development first-person shooter/driving game.

To quote:

“You might think that a game massive enough to require two DVDs would provide a substantially long gameplay experience, but you’d be wrong.”

The length of the game was revealed in an interview with OXM magazine by Rage creative director Tim Willits.

While this may come as a disappointment to some, you have to remember that Rage is an open-world game, so it easily can take much longer to find everything and complete the game 100%. The 15 hour mark is probably relating to the main path straight through the game to the ending.

Either way, it is always somewhat disappointing when a game has been worked on seemingly forever and yet it takes so little time to get through it. But hey, at least it’s not as short as Bulletstorm!

The Rage release date is on September 13, 2011 and will ship on two Xbox 360 discs and one Bluray PS3 disc.

Don’t forget to pick up the Rage comic books while you wait for September!
