Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City first trailer

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City gameplay screenshot (Xbox 360, PS3, PC)
The first trailer for Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City has been released, and seems to show off the first gameplay footage from the upcoming Xbox 360, PS3 and PC team-based multiplayer shooter from Slant Six.

As previously reported, the game is a third-person shooter, which will contain both a single-player story mode and a four-player cooperative multiplayer mode, both of which are set during the events of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3; At the outskirts of Raccoon City (where the T-Virus and later G-Virus broke out during the original games) and within the city itself.

A number of characters will be playable with various abilities (one character can cloak, for example); with two teams being involved in the plot. The Umbrella Security Service (USS), who are out to rid any evidence of Umbrella’s nefarious activities (including people/survivors, such as main characters Leon S. Kennedy or Jill Valentine) and the United States Special Operations Task-Force, who is out to stop Umbrella’s forces and expose the company’s wrongdoing and evil schemes.

The teaser trailer for Operation Raccoon City shows some intense shooting against a legion of zombies, and gives us a glimpse at Leon S. Kennedy at the end of the trailer, who drives up in his truck ala the opening of Resident Evil 2. The decisions players make in the game could have major repercussions on the series storyline, such as killing off major characters. Definitely looking forward to this one.
