Our Crysis 2 walkthrough will guide you through the beginning to ending moments of cutscenes and gameplay for this juggernaut sequel to the hit first-persons shooter from Crytek.

Whether played in 3D or standard 2D, Crysis 2 drops players into a devastated New York in the midst of an attack by a frightening alien species. The alien enemies are armed with deadly weaponry and exceptional sensory abilities that test players’ skill and push them to the limit. These terrifying invaders stalk the streets of New York, leaving the streets in chaos and the skyline in flaming ruin.

Crysis 2 Walkthrough – Intro, Opening Moments & Mission 1: In at the Deep End

Here’s the introduction to the game, followed by the cinematic first mission.

Once you have picked up the gun off of the floor, you will need to head on over and break the padlock. You will need to use the toggle tick to break the padlock. Make your way through the hallway, picking up the glow stick on the table.

Heading to the door, you will need to crouch. Once you have crouched under the door, you will need to head on over to the desk which is located near a dead body. Use the laptop on the desk.
Make your way up the stairs and power jump over to get over to the catwalk.

Make your way through some doors, once you have gone through the two sets of door, you will need to turn to the right and hold onto the ledge. Go through the door to take you outside. There will be some on screen instructions to follow.

Warning: Scopes reduce your situational awareness, making it easier for enemies to attack you from the sides.

Crysis 2 Walkthrough – Mission 2: Second Chance

You will need to be careful as the alarm may be sounded, have a look around the area for some soldiers. If you see any enemies it will be a good idea to take them out.

Once you have dealt with the enemies you will need to turn right and head through the large steel doors. They are located between two large concrete pillars. Once you have made it through the large doors, you will be greeted by two enemy soldiers.

Once you have killed the soldiers, head through the door on the left. This will lead you into the EMAT entrance to the building.

Once you have reached the new checkpoint, you will need to perform a stealth kill on the enemy. Sneak up on him quietly, you will need to perform the same move on the next enemy.

Move yourself out into the city. It will be a good idea to get some more ammo from the crates. Once you have stocked up on your ammo, you will need to head into the streets. Once you have pushed forward into the streets, you will need to head left at the end of the street. Once you have turned left, turn right and head into a building.

Mission 2: Part 2

You will need to pick up the miniature Statue Of Liberty, once you have picked up the Statue of Liberty, you will need to use your laptop.

Walk yourself out into the alley way. Jump up onto the large bin. This will help you get onto the ledge. Some on screen instructions will appear, follow them.

You will see some enemies in front of you. Take them out!

Head over the gap, once you have jumped over the gap, you will need to go up the stairs. In front of you, you should be able to see a shop that sells doughnut’s, you will be able to get your hands on some grenades from the crates. You will need to throw a grenade at the enemy soldiers that are located near the ambulance.

You will need to stay where you are and wait for some more guards to move themselves out into the open. You will then need to throw another grenade at them, you will need to move out into the open for this part of the mission. Once you have thrown your grenade, crouch down and head into the shop.

Once in the shop, you will need to make your way to the back of the shop. Go past the ambulance and head into the next building. Once you have made it into the next building, you will need to drop down into the sewer. Move through the tunnel and perform a power jump to pull yourself out of the tunnel. You will need to be in cloak mode before you make the jump.

Go up the ramp and turn to the right. You will need to perform a stealth kill on the enemy in front of you when he has his back turn to you. There will be some other enemy soldiers that are in this area. You will need to hide behind the barricade and take out the rest of the enemies.

As you move down the street, you will need to head to the left of the large rig, there will be some soldiers waiting behind the barricade. Destroy them! Once you have taken out your enemies make your way down the stairs that head into the subway. Once you have lifted the gates, keep heading down into the subway.

You will need to crouch yourself down to fit under the gate, head past the bathrooms. You will need to lift another gate. Power jump, this will allow you to get through the hole. This hole will take you to some stairs. Head up those stairs.

Crysis 2 Walkthrough – Mission 3: Sudden Impact

Make your way through the hallway of the offices. You will need to look out! There will be an explosion. Once you have picked yourself up off of the floor, you will need to go down the street.

Heading left through the garage, you will need to get into the lift. There will be two soldiers in this area. Perform a stealth attack on them, there is also another guard located on the other side of the bay. Shoot him.

Turning left, you will pass some more garages, there will be two more soldiers located at the end of the garage. There will be some rolling self detonating bombs, rolling around. Watch out for them before you head to the next level.

In the right hand corner there is a red gas can. You will need to shoot this gas can to kill the guards which are standing behind the barricade.

Once you have killed the guards, you will need to head out the gate and go out of the garages. Waiting through the door and head up some stairs. You will need to head through a window which leads you onto the roof.

It will be a good idea to kick the car off of the roof, this will create a distraction, you will then be able to take out the soldiers located below you.

You will need to watch out as there are many soldiers located around this area.

Making your way down the ramp, you will need to perform yet another steal attack on the enemy soldiers. Walking over the rails, you will need to push on all the way past the truck.

Keep a close eye on your map, when you see some red dots appearing, crouch down. They are enemies approaching.

If you come across a large group of soldiers, switch on your cloak attack. Remember follow the blue icon on your map. This will help you located where you need to head.

Before you take a look around the crash site, head back into the corner of the map, there is a soldier located here. Take him out.

He is located in the Jeep.

Part 2

Once you have taken out the solider, put on your cloak move and head to the first pod.

The first pod you come to will be empty, move straight into the building on the right hand side. This will avoid you being seen by the enemy soldiers.

You will then need to walk all the way around the back of the crash site.

When you reach the second pod there will be nothing there wither. Turning to the left, you will need to drop yourself down into the crash site. In the green cases(which are located to the right hand side of the window, you will need to pick up the JAW. Once you have picked up the JAW, you will need to head through the hole. Shoot a rocket at the helicopter located in the sky overhead.

Climbing up, you will need to head through the door on the left.

Make your way up two sets of stairs, when you are at the top you will need to open the elevator doors. The elevator is located on the left. Dropping down through the shaft of the elevator, you will need to coach down and through the tiny hole.

Using your visor, you will need to scan the biomass near the crash site. Heading towards the blue light, you will need to jump through the window.

Once you are through the window, make your way up the ramp.

Watch out! There will be aliens, you will be attacked by them.

You will need to use your Nanovision to track the head. The alien moves really quickly. Laying into him with a couple rounds of ammo will definitely take the alien out.

Once you have killed him, go up to the dead body and take a sample of tissue.

Moving away from the crash site, head for the blue dot located on your map. Head to the container to fill up your ammo. Making your way down the tunnel, you will come across two soldiers at the end. Take them down.

Once you have taken down the soldiers, you will need to make your way outside. Making your way over the car and the train to kill three soldiers located on the other side of the two vehicles.

Using some red gas will cause some damage.

Heading down the left side of the tunnel, passing the containers. You will need to coach down and head under the platform.

Kill the alien that is located on the other side of the gate. Once the alien is dead, you will need to back up a bit. As there will be another three aliens that make a B-line for you.

Once you have kill the remaining three aliens, keep going through the tunnel. Once you have made it to the end of the tunnel, head to the right.

There will be a doorway, go through the door and up the stairs.

Crysis 2 Walkthrough – Mission 4: Road Rage

Heading down through the tunnel, you will need to jump across the scaffolding to the left. Use it to get up onto the ledge.

You will need to keep following the path until you are able to jump through a hole. This will lead to to the lower level.

Once the cut scene is over, you will need to head out through the door. There is a gun located in the corner. Use your cloak to drop down onto the broken railway. Make your way down tracks.

Once you get to the break, you will need to drop down and start running behind the buildings. Keep to the left. This will keep you from being seen by the enemy.

Follow your blue locator on your map.

Heading up the road, now is a good time to collect some more ammo. Before you move off again, you will need to engage your cloak to sneak past some soldiers.

Once you have past the soldiers, you will need to move into the entrance of the tunnel.

Watch out as there will be a few soldiers repelling down in front of you.

Take cover behind a white container, then head into the tunnel.

There will be an earthquake.

Switching to Nanovision, this will allow you to have a look at the soldiers close by. Keep going down the highway. There will be a sign on the floor, you will need to head tot he right of the highway.

The path you are on now will lead you under the highway. Using your cloak, you will need to perform a stealth attack on the soldier located behind the police car.

This is not a area you want to be spotted in. make sure you take lots of cover and use your cloak where needed.

Turning to the right at the break, you will see another blue icon on your map. Use your cloak to jump on the white container. This will help you jump up onto the wall. There are some guards located on the steps. You know what to do. Once you have taken down the enemy, head through the vent.

The wall located in front of you needs to be blown up. Once you have done that, head through the hole. You don’t have to take any notice of the enemy vehicles.

You will need to turn right up the road, destroying the vehicle coming out of the tunnel. You will also need to take out the enemy vehicle located by the barricade. There is also a helicopter located to your left. Take it down using your rockets.

Once you have made it out of the tunnel, there will be two enemy vehicles to your right. You will need to shoot and kill the enemy soldiers. They are located in the left hand corner. There is also a soldier located near the blue door. He actually opens this door.

Crysis 2 Walkthrough – Mission 5: Lab Rat

Head towards the open window. You will need to kill the soldier that is wondering on his own. Using your cloak, drop down and pick up the soldiers sniper riffle, this will come in handy later.

Take some cover and wait for your energy and health to fill up. You will need to use your cloak to take out the solider located to the right hand side. He is located on the right hand side across the way.

You will then come across and area where there are lots of enemy soldiers. The best way to push through this area is to take cover and take out the soldiers one by one. Use your cloak to your advantage.

Once you have taken out all the soldiers, head to the left, you will need to drop yourself off the roof and move to the left along the wall. Use your cloak.

This is a pretty long “walk” but in the end it will take you to a set of stairs. You will need to watch out as you go up them. They will have move soldiers located on the stairs. Move carefully along these stairs.

When you see a yellow container, drop yourself down onto it, moving through the doorway.

Go to the first room, there will be some soldiers located here as well. Once you have taken the soldiers out, you will be able to fill up your supplies here.

There will also be two soldiers located in the greenhouse.

Remember that sniper you picked up earlier? This is where you will need to use it. A helicopter will show up.

You will need to head over and hide behind the crate,this crate is located on the left side of the greenhouse.

You will need to keep low until you see the helicopter on the north side, use your sniper riffle to take out the gunners.

Watch out, you will then be swarmed by enemies! From every angle. You will need to take the two soldiers that come out from the door first, then go for the soldiers that come down from the ceiling.

The helicopter will come back for round two, you will need to take cover behind the sewers and engage in your armour mode. You will need to be prepared for another swarm of soldiers that appear.

Part 2

You will need to kill all of the soldiers that swarm you. Have a look at all the dead bodies once they are dead.

One of the soldiers should be carrying a JAW rocket launcher.

Pick it up and aim it at the helicopter. It will bring it down with one large bang!!

dropping yourself down through the hole, you will then need to make your way around the helicopter and go through the door and head down the stairs. Once you have made it to the end, you will need to fire at the padlock at the gate, this gate is located on the floor.

Dropping through the gate, head to the stairs and go up them. When you have made it to the grassy area, you will see some more stairs. You will need to take out the soldier that is located around the corner.

You will then befriend Nathan, follow him to the next room. Once you take on the ambush, move to the window near the telescope. Once you have taken out the soldiers, go through the door that Nathan opens and holds open for you.
