The Crysis 2 soundtrack will be released on March 22nd to retail stores and available digitally via Amazon, iTunes and other music retailers. This is day and date with the Crysis 2 demo which will also be released on March 22nd.
This is ahead of the Crysis 2 release date on March 22, 2011 for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
The Crysis 2 soundtrack is notable because it was composed by Hans Zimmer, soundtrack fans will be familiar with his work as Zimmer was the composer for such Hollywood blockbusters as The Dark Knight and Inception!
The music for Crysis 2 was composed along with Zimmer’s team featuring Lorne Balfe, who also colalborated with existing composers Borislav Slavov and Tilman Sillescu to create the intense and dramatic score that sets the tone for a devastated New York City of the near-future in the year 2023.
“I was drawn to Crysis 2 because of Crytek’s passion for the project and the world they created,” said Hans Zimmer. “And I am very happy with the outcome of our collaboration.”
