Pac-Man & Galaga Dimensions has been announced for 3DS from Namco Bandai. It was previously known that a Pac-Man game was in development for the system, and turns out it will be part of this upcoming twofer package.
Revealed in Famitsu magazine in Japan, this set will include two titles: “Pac-Man: Tilt” and “Galaga 3D Impact”.
Galaga 3D Impact is a shoot’em up in which you play from the cockpit view aiming using the gyrometer within the 3DS system (i.e. physically moving the system to aim). Obviously having the viewpoint being from the cockpit perspective with stuff hurling at you will look fantastic in stereoscopic 3D, effectively making use of the best feature of the 3DS.
Pac-Man: Tilt however looks like it may be a Pac-Man World type platformer title although from a side-scrolling perspective. Pac-Man has legs and arms but must navigate through the levels by using the gyro tilting of the 3DS in order to tilt the world that Pac-Man is navigating.
This set has yet to be announced for America but will be coming this year for 3DS.
