Graphics — 7
Medal of Honor has visual effects that will make you taste the Afghan sand, huge desert landscapes and mind-blowing explosion, are just a few of the visual treats waiting for anybody ready to take on this middle east bad boy.

The only down side to all this is that it looks exactly like Battlefield Bad Company 2, the way you run, walk, shoot and even use your knife. This makes the game lack an original look or feel and leaves it feeling like an older title.

The cut scenes and huge battle set pieces are all a joy even just to watch.

The attention to detail rings through in the weaponry, all of these real life current combat weapons are superbly recreated all the way down to the scratches and scuff’s.

Audio — 7
Every bang, boom and crash is heard and very true to the real thing, there’s no need to add the amazing soundtrack when you’re surrounded by the sound of real battle, but when it does kick in it simply throws the action into overdrive.

Ingenuity — 6
It may be slightly edgy in as much as covering current affairs, but this was all let down by a lack of ingenuity. The game itself plays like a carbon copy of Bad Company 2, you find yourself waiting for Sweetwater to pop up and drop some funny lines.

Medal of Honor had some very good idea’s, but instead delivered us a quick 5 hour story, that even the most casual of players could complete without any effort at all, that will leave most core players or fans of the series feeling very disappointed.

All is not lost though although the single player may be a bit of a flop, the multiplayer will really brighten your day. With a max of 24 players battling it out online and a system of bonus streaks that focus on team work instead of individual effort, the multiplayer shines out as Medal of Honors crowning glory.

Gameplay — 7
Medal of honor follows the wave of current FPS games, using standard FPS controls there is nothing new here to be seen, but does make for an easy learning curve.

The single player mode takes you through a journey with a group of tier 1 operators, these guys are tough, mean and crack shots. You will be taken through a variety of different set pieces, from Apache gunships all the way through to the ATV sections, there tons of interesting things to be done.

The multiplayer side of things allows up to 24 players to battle it out online, and really adds an extra level of depth to the game as a whole.

OVERALL FUN-FACTOR — 7
It’s easy to say that Modern Warfare 2 and Battlefield Bad Company 2 are still going to be sitting on the top of the list of modern war shooters, although Medal of honor tries to tick all the boxes it does it without any thought to its audience. It’s an average shooter that borrows its looks from a great game and tries to convince you that it’s a AAA title.

The campaign although short is entertaining and the music that plays through the larger set pieces is fantastic. But if you want to purchase an online shooter, and you don’t stress about single player then Medal Of Honor wont disappoint.
