Dragon Quest VI release date is February 14, 2011. America finally gets DS remake!

Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation will be released as a DS remake on February 14, 2011 in America!

This will come as a huge sigh of relief for those fans who worried that sales of last year’s July release of Dragon Quest IX may have put the brakes on the DS remakes.

Thankfully, Dragon Quest IX was a success sales wise, enough to warrant the re-release of Dragon Quest VI, which completes the modern re-releasing of the series for the Nintendo DS.

As already stated, this game is a remake of the classic Super NES RPG of the same name, however it will contain several improvements and differences.

Here is a look at the Japanese version.

  • Choose from nine different starting classes and unlock many others in the return of Alltrades Abbey.

  • Choose your favorite type of slime to take with you, or even bring a Hacksaurus.
