Square Enix has stepped into a brave-new world… The world of Japanese Manga!
The Japanese giant has taken another step to further diversify their publishing portfolio to reach all corners of the globe, and has thus opened an all-new web-store where they are selling digital manga!
The American Square Enix Manga store is now open for business and you will be able to purchase manga from many popular series including FullMetal Alchemist, The Record of Fallen Vampire and Soul Eater. Right now there aren’t many choices available but they are sure to grow their library in time.
All issues currently available are Volume 1, and if you get in right now you can pick up each title for only $6. They also offer wallpaper and a community where you can discuss manga with other Square Enix Members. This makes it a perfect time to jump in if you haven’t tried readnig manga before, as Volume 1 issues can sometimes be hard to come by in hard copy form. And if you’re into anime you’ll definitely want to give reading Manga a try if you are a newbie.
This store joins the Square Enix Store that already offers toys/figurines for both Square Enix and non-Square Enix properties, as well as a music store where you can pick up videogame soundtracks.
Quite the diversified portfolio if you ask me. Cool to see them jumping in to the manga world.
