Darkspore is Maxis’ upcoming Diablo-style action RPG game birthed from the Spore Creature Creator engine and turned into a single and multiplayer experience.
The game is a “fast-paced, sci-fi Action-RPG in which you battle across alien worlds to save the galaxy from the mutated forces of Darkspore. Fight in co-op and solo battles against hordes of Darkspore enemies and bosses. In this new developer diary video, you can take a look at the in-depth Player VS Player multiplayer mode that Darkspore plans to offer. The game is scheduled for release in February of 2011.
