Katy Perry’s Firework for Just Dance 2 has just been released as free downloadable content for the latest Wii-exclusive hit in Ubisoft’s uber-popular dancing game.

Making an explosive entrance with her hot new single “Firework,” singer Katy Perry joins the party-poppin’ track list for the highly-anticipated Just Dance 2 video game from Ubisoft. With more than 5.1 million albums sold worldwide, Perry has become a major icon of pop-rock music in just a few short years.

Perry’s new album Teenage Dream, released in August 2010, has already reached the No.1 position in 10 countries (US, Australia, Austria, Canada, Hong Kong, Ireland, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore and UK).

Thanks to the success of the first two singles taken from the album, California Gurls (a No.1 airplay hit in 23 countries and a No.1 single in 10 countries) and Teenage Dream (a No.1 airplay hit in nine countries and a No.1 single in four countries), Perry has become one of only 10 female artists in history to have two songs in the Top 5 Billboard Hot 100 at the same time. “Firework,” the third single in the Teenage Dream album, will ship to radio globally this month.

To access the free song DLC, Just Dance 2 owners can download the song via the Wii Shop Channel on the Wii console.

The track list for Just Dance 2 is bursting with a wide range of over 40 songs from legendary dance hits to today’s chart-toppers, including Donna Summer’s Hot Stuff, Blondie’s Call Me, Rihanna’s S.O.S., The Pussycat Doll’s When I Grow Up, and many more popular dance hits.

Here is a short teaser of the song in Just Dance 2.
