3DS Game Boy Virtual Console announced
The 3DS will FINALLY be getting a Game Boy Virtual Console announced Nintendo at the Japanese “N 2010” press conference in Japan!

This is BY FAR the most wanted feature that Nintendo fans have been clamoring for for a long time, ever since the original Wii Virtual Console was revealed and Game Boy classics were absent and never seen. This was especially irksome when some Game Gear games were released for the Wii Virtual Console along with NES and Master System titles.

When the Nintendo DSi was revealed, many were hoping for the announcement of a Game Boy Virtual Console, but that announcement never came.

However fans can now breathe a sigh of release, as the 3DS WILL be getting a Game Boy Virtual Console!

Although exact titles were not revealed, it was announced that original Game Boy and Game Boy Color games will be released for the service. Game Boy Advance games were NOT announced . . . but hopefully they will come eventually.

Although no games were OFFICIALLY announced, a demonstration did reveal Super Mario Land (Game Boy) and, drumroll please, The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening Deluxe (Game Boy Color).

You can be sure that many more games will be announced soon. Hopefully we’ll see 3DS VC releases of Metroid II: Return of Samus, Game Boy Donkey Kong, Kid Icarus of Myths and Monsters, Kirby Pinball Land, Super Mario Land 2 and 3, the Wario Land titles, Game Boy Ninja Gaiden, Castlevania, Turtles: Fall of the Foot Clan, Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow, Metroid Fusion, Game & Watch Gallery 1, 2, 3 & 4 and Game Boy Advance classics like Metroid: Zero Mission. There are tons of great Game Boy titles so this is GREAT NEWS.

What 3DS Virtual Console Game Boy games do you most want to see re-released?

Hopefully a Virtual Boy 3DS revival will be revealed at some point as well for the Virtual Console on 3DS.
