Even though the Nintendo 3DS is stealing all of the limelight these days, Nintendo didn’t forget about their little bundle of joy from year’s past, and announced two new regular DS titles. And both are quite strange.
First up we have a brand new Kirby game! Called simply “Kirby” for now, the new title should be labeled “Kirby: 10 Copies” as it deals with players managing a whole crew of 10 Kirby’s on the screen at once! Other than that not much more detail is known.
Then you have Pokemon Typing DS . . . and no that is NOT a typo.
Just like you’d expect given the title, the game is a weird “Typing of the Dead”-style game in which you tap letters appearing on the virtual keyboard on the lower touchscreen as various Pokemon appear on the screen and you have to type their names!
I guess if you want a quick way to learn what all of the Pokemon are and how to spell their names, this is it.
Both games will be released in 2011.
