What were the best-selling games in America, Japan, and Europe the past week? Thanks to Amazon online sales data here are the games that are the hottest. Think of it as a games weather report.

What follows is a listing of the Top 10 bestsellers per region, for all systems combined.

North America’s Top 10 Games:

1. New Super Mario Bros. Wii (Wii)
2. Bayonetta (Xbox 360)
3. Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep (PSP)
4. Madden NFL 11 (Xbox 360)
5. Bayonetta (PS3)
6. Wii Fit Plus with Balance Board (Wii)
7. Madden NFL 11 (PS3)
8. Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Wii)
9. Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty (PC, Mac)
10. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (Xbox 360)

Japan’s Top 10 Games:

1. Wii Party (Wii) *
2. Han Mong Village Diary: Airu Repeatedly (PSP)
3. One Piece: Gigant Battle! includes three ultra-luxurious extras (DS)

* Looks like the Japanese Wii Party commercials are showing the mini-games are going off the TV screen and into your living room. Looks like a lot of fun, even if I can’t understand a word they are saying, it’s clearly hide and seek with the Wii controllers. ๐Ÿ™‚

Europe’s Top 10 Games:

1. Just Dance (Wii)
2. Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Wii)
3. The Sims 3: Fast Lane Stuff (PC, Mac)
4. Mafia II (Xbox 360)

To recap the top games per system: New Super Mario Bros. Wii returns to the first place on the Wii chart. A $20 Bayonetta returns on top of the Xbox 360 & PS3 charts. Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty stays #1 on the PC/Mac chart. Kingdom Hearts keeps making a return on the PS2 chart. New Super Mario Bros. returns once again on the DS chart. And lastly, Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep debuts on the PSP chart.
