Amnesia: The Dark Descent walkthrough Part 16: Chancel & Nave

As you enter the Chancel, there will be 1 enemy walking around the walkways, he will first walk along the walkway to the right, and come back towards the walkway closest to you from where you started. I do not think there is any way to avoid this enemy without running back to the entrance to the Nave from where you just came from and heading back to the Chancel again. You might be able to avoid him by heading to the walkway to the left, but I do not think you will have enough time before he spots you and starts chasing you.

Other than picking up some items and reading some Dairies there is nothing here so I then head back and fix the lever system from the door above the table near Agrippa. Once you have fixed the lever system, head back up to the top of the Nave, to where you first entered from the well. Pull each lever in the room near the well, and then head downstairs and enter either of the two. It does not matter which area you enter first, I chose to enter the Transept area first.

Mementos list overview so far:
* The pedestal in the Chancel has a depression in it that could fit an orb.
* A heavy door is blocking the path.
* Agrippa, the dying man, seeks a note written by a man named Johann Weyes.
* An orb is needed to enter the Inner Sanctum. Its shattered pieces he scattered in the torture rooms.
* Two levers on the top floor are not working. It is probably some problem with the machinery.

Amnesia: The Dark Descent walkthrough Part 17: Transept, Nave & Choir Entrance

There are no enemies in the Transept area so that makes running through this area even easier on you. In this area you are just collecting pieces of the Orb; there are 3 in this area and 1 in each of the cells. Then at the top of the spiral staircase will be string on the desk for you to use to collect blood from the drain in one of the cells. This is shown in Part 18 of my walkthrough.

You can now head back to the Nave and start heading to the Choir, there will be no enemies until you are in the Choir Main Hall. The entrance area/hallway to the Choir does not.

Before you reach the Choir Entrance the room before the entrance will have the note that Agrippa wants you to find for him. It’s here you’ll find out how to get the third ingredient to Agrippa’s tonic. Head back and give this to him and then go and enter the Choir Entrance.

Amnesia: The Dark Descent walkthrough Part 18: Choir Main Hall, Nave & Chancel

The rest of the Orbs (3) are located in the Choir Main Hall. You will face an enemy a few times in this area before and/or after you collect the Orbs located across the 2 bridges. You will likely have to run to the Choir Entrance and back if you happen to be seen by it.

Before you enter the room in the area after crossing the middle bridge, make sure to collect one of the ingredients, the Poison Gland, for the Tonic that you need for Agrippa.

Now that you have all of the pieces to complete the Orb; head back to the Nave and then finally to the Chancel. You will encounter 3 enemies after walking through the next door. They will attack you but you will not be killed, you instead are taken as a prisoner and locked up. You will need to escape this jail cell and area, which is shown in the video guide for Part 19 of my walkthrough.

Amnesia: The Dark Descent walkthrough Part 19: Cells & Nave

In order to escape the cells you must get the key that is stuck in the pipes but unreachable by hand. So you will first need to get a bucket from cell across from where you are in and use that bucket for the well in the middle of the room. But before you can get any of that, you need to use the hammer and chipper to get through the wall, and then pull the board on the other side.

Once you are out of the cells, you need to run as something is chasing you from behind. There will be only one time where you will need to move the objects blocking a door fast otherwise it is a breeze running from it. Though you will come to a point where it will not matter which way you go but you will have to turn back and go the opposite way because of the walls caving in in the hallway.

Head downstairs in the Nave and into the Lab on the right. Here is where you mix the ingredients for the Tonic. First boil the blood and then afterwards place the jar under machine that extracts the mucus and then finally place it under the machine that squeezes out the poison from the gland. Grab the Bone Saw from the Laboratory and use the Tonic and Saw on Agrippa, and then take his head after.

It’s around here that we find out Daniel drank from the amnesia mixture, and that he planned to unlock the power of the Orb to ultimately banish the Shadow hunting him.

Amnesia: The Dark Descent walkthrough Part 20: Chancel, Inner Sanctum, Orb Chamber & The Good Ending

The heavy door is sealed shut, here the player searches for a way to open it. Let’s enter the Orb Chamber and end the game. — This video shows the good ending, if you are looking for the normal or evil, look for them below.

In order to enter the Inner Sanctum and Orb Chamber, you need to place the pieces of the Orb into the pedestal with the bucket of tar. Assemble the Orb into the pedestal, from the colored pieces, in the following order: black, light brown, light blue, purple, light red, green, and dark red. Once you have completed the Orb, head to the only other room that you can access from the walkway and down the steps. The door will now be open; here is the machine that you need to break with a rock by throwing it at the gears.

When you are inside the Inner Sanctum you need to go in each of the ritual rooms fast and first go to the altar that pricks you and the lights die. While this happens, go to the other side of the room to light up the candles and stand in the middle of the weird circle the ground.

#1 Ending: To get the good ending, do not knock down all or any of the pylons, and wait until the portal opens along with it becoming blue. Once this happens, throw the head of Agrippa into the portal and that is the end.
