It looks like we have many more Sims games to look forward to, as EA has registered The Sims 4, The Sims 5, The Sims 6 and The Sims 7 domain names!
Obviously the company is just covering their tracks and making sure to secure the domains for the future, when the time comes for these titles to be released.
However this news will come as no surprise, given the success of the long-running series. I don’t think it would come as a shock to anyone if The Sims 4 is already well under way at Electronic Arts, even as they continue to announce new expansions for their latest game, like The Sims 3: Late Night Expansion (releases in October 26th), new platforms for the series like The Sims 3 console for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, DS (also releases on October 26th), and even all-new Sims spin-offs like The Sims Medieval RPG.
Either way, the new web-site domain names were registered back in July. It’ll likely be a while until we hear about another core entry in “The Sims 4”, but it’ll surely happen sooner or later.
