King of Fighters: Sky Stage has been announced for release in America on Xbox Live Arcade! This was revealed via the ESRB ratings board.

Sky Stage is known as being a vertically scrolling shoot ’em up game in which players actually control characters from the King of Fighters universe themselves, instead of controlling a ship. You may have seen one of these unique schmup’s before. They are kinda their own sub-genre of the Schmup genre in the Land of the Rising Sun (some of you may be familiar with a the PS2 game called Castle of Shikigami 2 and the Wii sequel, Castle of Shikigami 3, both of which are the same type of “schmup-with-human-as-the-ship” games).

What’s even more funny about this revelation thanks to the ESRB is their description of the game’s more “Mature themes”. One of which reads,

“A still-frame image of a female character is shown frequently; the character wears a revealing outfit that accentuates her buttocks and displays large amounts of cleavage.”

. . . Cleavage for the win! Anyone who knows King of Fighters knows that the character in question if the lovely, large-breasted, scantily-clad Mai.

Thankfully for us, while the game hasn’t been officially announced, an ESRB rating means that we should see the game on American Xbox Live shops soon. Huzzuh!

Here is video of a Japanese guy playing the game in the Japanese arcade, where it originates.
