Okamiden has gotten a new Gamescom 2010 trailer that features lots of Japanese anime-styling and J-Pop music featuring Japanese popstar Kitano Kie singing her song “Hanataba (Bouquet of Flowers)”.

It’s a fitting song for a game that’s infinitely cuter than the original Okami, for which Okamiden is the official sequel.

The game will be released in America and Europe in 2011, with a Japanese released for the game next month.

Taking place many months after the events of Ôkami, Ôkamiden follows the adventures of Chibiterasu – a young sun god who is summoned to protect and restore the land. Armed with a majestic celestial brush and a vibrant cast of partners with unique powers and abilities, this little god is ready to make its mark on the world.
