Star Wars The Force Unleashed 3 canceled
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 3 sounds like it has been canceled by new LucasArts president Paul Meegan as he hits his second month as head honcho.

This news follows on the heels of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2‘s creative director, Haden Blackman, up and leaving the project mid-way through it’s development. Apparently more employees will be shown the door upon release of Force Unleashed 2 as Meegan dices and trims the studio.

In addition a second unnamed project has also been put on put on hold, reportedly as changes are made in the wake of Blackman’s departure.

Reports are that morale is at an all-time low at the LucasArts studio as it faces major upheavals with the new president.

I do have to wonder though if extremely high sales of The Force Unleashed 2 would change Meegan’s mind on the 3rd game’s cancellation . . .

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2 is due for release on October 26, 2010 for Xbox 360, PS3, PC, Wii and DS. The Force Unleashed 3 was reportedly already under development for unnamed systems before it’s cancellation.
