A new Ratchet & Clank PS3 game may be revealed soon at Gamescom, instead of what many thought would be Resistance 3.

This was revealed by voice actor David Kaye in speaking to ShogunGamer, where he revealed that Insomniac Games is currently working on a new Ratchet & Clank title.

To quote:

“Don’t know about Nate. There are some interesting developments always coming from Insomniac Games. We’re working on more R & C currently.”

When combined with the fact that Insomniac has stated that they are revealing a brand new title between now and PAX Prime in September, with the fact that this new game is a “PS3 Project” (thus it is not the multiplatform EA Partners title), it means that we could be seeing Ratchet & Clank soon.

We’ll just have to wait and see. If it is revealed at Gamescom, we won’t have to wait long, cause the show takes place on August 18-22 in Cologne, Germany. And there are going to be plenty of new announcements filtering through in the next day or so before the show. — Via VG247

Update from GamesCom 2010: It’s going to be a co-op game where players can control Ratchet, Clank, Quark and Nefarious! It will feature drop-in and drop-out and has a competitive edge.
