Resident Evil 4: Afterlife will be released on September 10, 2010 in 3D, IMAX, IMAX 3D and 2D (I presume).
The film is the fourth in the franchise and are based off of the Capcom videogame series of the same name, although they don’t follow the storylines exactly and instead incorporate various elements from the games.
This time they are incorporating more elements from the videogames than ever before, and this third film will see the series’ protagonist, Alice, infiltrating Umbrella headquarters itself in order to hunt down the franchise’ main villain, Albert Wesker. It will also mix in elements of Resident Evil 5, the most recent game in the series, to give it a more modern connection to the videogame franchise it’s based on. Which to me makes me really excited to see this film, for once.

This movie follows the previous films: Resident Evil, Resident Evil: Apocalypse and Resident Evil: Extinction.
