Red Dead Redemption includes a host of unique in-game challenges that will reward you with Achievements to bolster your Xbox Live GamerScore and Trophies to add to your PlayStation Network collection. Here is a complete list of all the public in-game accomplishments that can be unlocked and added to your Achievement & Trophy collections.
There are also 13 Secret Achievements and Trophies that you’ll need to wait until May 18th to try and figure out and unlock!

XBOX 360 ACHIEVEMENTS LIST
Earn the Achievement to get the corresponding amount of GamerPoints added to your GamerScore.
1. A Savage Soul (10) – Complete “At Home with Dutch”.
2. Austin Overpowered (25) – Complete Twin Rocks, Pike’s Basin, and Gaptooth Breach Hideouts in Single Player.
3. Bearly Legal (5) – Kill and skin 18 grizzly bears. — Find lots of bears in the Tall Trees area in West Elizabeth. Protip: Shoot them while riding your horse to be less vulnerable compared to shooting them while walking on the ground, which can get you killed with a few behind-your-back bear-claw attacks.
4. Buckin’ Awesome (10) – Break the Kentucky Saddler, the American Standardbred, and the Hungarian Half-bred.
5. Bullseye (20) – Get 250 headshots in any game mode.
6. Clemency Pays (10) – Capture a bounty alive. — Before you can start, you need to earn the Lasso from Bonnie MacFarlane, as this will help capture wild horses. Make your way to any wanted poster, marked with a skull on your map. Kill the surrounding enemies, but do not kill the moving red skull, instead shoot out the target’s legs to slow them down and switch to your lasso. Lasso the bounty and tie them up. Then put them on your horse and return to the wanted poster with your live bounty to get the achievement.
7. Dastardly (5) – Place a hogtied woman on the train tracks, and witness her death by train. — Before you can start, you need to earn the Lasso from Bonnie MacFarlane and buy the Bandana from Thieves’ Landing. Once you have both cross the bridge in Thieve’s Landing to the Brothel. Equip the Bandana and Lasso, and now pick a lady to lasso. Lasso and hogtie her, and then load her onto your horse. – You will need to proceed over to the tracks nearest to the red train marker. This is usually the tracks next to Tumbleweed.
8. Evil Spirits (25) – Complete Tumbleweed and Tesoro Azul Hideouts in Single Player.
9. Exquisite Taste (10) – Purchase a rare weapon from a gunsmith.
10. Fightin’ Around the World (5) – Knock someone out in melee in every saloon in the game in Single Player. — Make sure to knock them down to the ground inside each bar. While unconfirmed, bars included should be in Armadillo, Blackwater, Thieves’ Landing, Chuparosa, Escalera, Casa Madrugada, Rathskeller Fork.
11. Friends in High Places (10) – Use a pardon letter with more than $5000 bounty in Single Player. — Once you are able to access the town of Blackwater, enter it from the west side near the train station. You’ll see a large brick building with “Welcome to Blackwater” on it. There’s only one way onto this building, and the AI can’t climb. Climb up to the top of the building and start to kill people. As the law arrives, wait until there are 7 law enforces before it’s safe to go stand at the top of the ladder. Now use the camera to spring from left to right, this will produce an infinite amount of AI for you to kill. – Once your bounty reaches $5,000 duck behind the vent on the roof until your wanted level goes away. Make a run for the train station and use a pardon letter, you should have at least 1 if you have completed the hideouts or all of Seth’s missions.
12. Frontiersman (20) – Obtain Legendary rank in any Single Player Ambient Challenge. — Use our Treasure Hunter Challenges Guide to get the Frontiersman Achievement.
13. Go Team! (20) – Be on the winning team for four consecutive victories in any team based game in public matches.
14. Gold Medal (25) – Earn a Gold Medal Rank for a combat mission in Single Player.
15. Have Gun Will Travel (20) – Complete all Hideouts in a single public Free Roam session.
16. He Cleans Up Well! (10) – Obtain the Elegant Suit. — Tailor shops are exclusive to Blackwater & Thieves Landing. The below video shows you the location of the Blackwater tailor. The Thieves Landing Tailor is in the same building as the doctor. Tailors will sell you outfit scraps and the bandana. They also sell finished outfits when you have all the scraps but the one they sell. Now the important part: The tailor will not be available until after you beat Agent Ross’s first mission, which is titled “Bear One Another’s Burdens”.
17. Heading South on a White Bronco (5) – Evade the US Marshals while riding the Hungarian Half-Bred horse in Single Player. — Before you go after this achievement/trophy, you’ll need to find the Hungarian half-bred horse at the Plains of Mexico and capture the white horse with a dark-grey nose. – Now let’s start by heading to Armadillo, once there you need to kill over 20 law enforcers. Once you’ve killed that many or every law enforcer in town, get on your new horse and set up a camp nearby. You’ll need to travel to the small creek just to the right of the Macfarlane Ranch. When you arrive there, the law will come after you, so either ride away on your new horse or kill them while riding.
18. High Roller (10) – Win over 2000 chips in a hand of Poker. — If you like Poker, you may want to hold off on this Achievement until later on in the game where you can play High Stakes Poker in the North. If you just want to earn the Achievement, you can do so by completing the mission “Lucky In Love” which you will find in Mexico. Just go all-in on both bets and you should win.
19. Hit the Trail (10) – Get from Blackwater to Escalera before sundown in a public Free Roam session.
20. How the West Was Won (20) – Reach the top rank for multiplayer experience.
21. In a Hail of Bullets (20) – Kill 500 enemies with any pistol or revolver in any game mode.
22. Instinto Asesino (25) – Complete Fort Mercer and Nosalida Hideouts in Single Player.
23. Into the Sunset (100) – Complete “The Last Enemy That Shall Be Destroyed”. To unlock this you have to finish all U.S. Gang Hideouts within 24-hours of in-game time. — Use our Gang Hideout Locations Guide to get the Into the Sunset Achievement.
24. Land of Opportunity (30) – Complete “The Assault on Fort Mercer”.
25. Long Arm of Marston (20) – Kill 500 enemies with any rifle, repeater, or shotgun in any game mode.
26. Manifest Destiny (5) – Kill the last buffalo in the Great Plains in Single Player. — Once you have access to The North you can get started. – Now roam the Great Plains until you find the buffalo and then shoot as many as you can, but remember to let them run off. Next set up camp or fast travel somewhere else, only to come back to this location a short time after leaving. Rinse and repeat until there’s only one buffalo left, then kill it for the achievement/trophy.
27. Man of Honor / Chivalry’s Dead (25) – Attain highest Fame rank and either highest Honor rank or lowest Honor rank.
28. More than a Fistful (10) – Earn $10,000 in Single Player.
29. Most Wanted (10) – Become a Public Enemy for 10 minutes and escape alive in a public Free Roam session. — Start your wanted bounty in a good spot like the Saloon roof of Armadillo. There you can go to the barricaded door and jump that wall to get on the roof. To keep your Wanted streak, use your Dead Eye to kill human player enemies at long range, preventing them from stopping you. Once your Public Enemy bounty of over $1,000 has been active for 10 whole minutes (which you need to time yourself) whistle for your horse and ride out of town. As you do that, kill any lawmen that pursue you and ride far away from any human players. Then after a few minutes of waiting around your Wanted will go away and the achievement will unlock.
30. Mowing Them Down (20) – Kill 500 enemies with a mounted weapon in any game mode.
31. No Dice (10) – Complete a game of Liar’s Dice without losing a single die. — This mini-game revolves around luck and patience. Pay close attention to the in-game tutorial and play through several games to work out the game mechanics. The whole point of this game is to work out hte possible amount of dice between the players sitting at the table. When you bet on your own dice make honest bets as the AI will normally call your bluff and lose a dice. – You will need to hold onto all 5 of your dice for this achievement, as the AI loses their dice, the percentage of you being able to guess their bet becomes easier. The less dice the AI has, the higher the chances of your bet being right will go up.
32. No More Fancy Words (20) – Complete “An Appointed Time”.
33. Nurture or Nature? (50) – Complete “Remember My Family”.
34. On the Trail of de Vaca (10) – Uncover every location on the map in Single Player.
35. People are Still Strange (25) – Complete 15 tasks for Strangers.
36. Posse Up! (10) – Create a posse and get the maximum number of members.
37. Red Dead Rockstar (10) – Kill a Rockstar or someone with this achievement in a public multiplayer match.
38. Redeemed (100) – Attain 100% in the Single Player Game Completion stat.
39. Slow on the Draw (10) – Get 10 assists in a single Hideout in a public Free Roam session.
40. Sons of Mexico (40) – Complete “The Gates of El Presidio”.
41. Spurred to Victory (10) – Complete 20 story missions without switching to a new horse at a hitching post.
42. Strange Things are Afoot (10) – Complete a task for a Stranger.
43. That Government Boy (10) – Complete “Exodus in America”.
44. The Benefits of Civilization (90) – Complete “And the Truth Will Set You Free”.
45. The Gunslinger (5) – Score a headshot on any enemy using Expert targeting mode.
46. The Quick and Everyone Else… (20) – Be the top scoring player in any three consecutive FFA games in public matches.
47. Unnatural Selection (20) – Kill one of every animal species in the game in any game mode. — Animal species include: Armadillos, Bears, Beavers, Bighorn Sheeps, Boars, Bobcats, Buffalos, Chickens, Cougars, Cows, Coyotes, Crows, Deers, Dogs, Ducks, Eagles, Elks, Foxes, Goats, Hawks, Wild Horses, Mules, Owls, Pigs, Rabbits, Raccoons, Seagulls, Skunks, Snakes, Songbirds, Vultures, Wolves.
48. What About Hand Grenades? (10) – Get a ringer in a game of Horseshoes. — Walk up to any of the horseshoe icons on the map and start a game of horseshoes with the AI. This will require a lot of patience and practice to actually accomplish. You need to aim with the left trigger to line up your shot. Then swing with the right stick. Try to release the shoe between between the two bars and with the powerbar showing green. – You may not get this on your first swing though, so keep trying by placing $1 bets until you do get it.
